The "okeh" spelling is advocated by Wilson, based on Choctaw dictionaries, I suppose the fellow who wrote the website page uncovered some 19th century references to okeh, but I did not Verify them in any way. I'm not a professional on this, I just recognize that phrases usually are not made by acronym jokes until finally WWII (notably fubar'ed). k
